A customer in Lucas, Texas, contacted us about a clicking noise coming from their air conditioning condenser unit. Our technician quickly diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning thermostat that was causing the reversing valve solenoid to chatter repeatedly. We installed a temporary replacement thermostat to restore proper system operation. The clicking noise stopped immediately, and the system is now functioning properly. This type of thermostat issue can cause unnecessary wear on HVAC components if left unaddressed, so prompt repair was important for preventing further damage.
