A customer in Fairview, Texas called because their upstairs air conditioning wasn't working. During our inspection, we found two problems causing the issue. First, we discovered a chewed wire outside the unit. This type of damage often happens when animals like squirrels or rats get near outdoor HVAC equipment. Second, the capacitor for the upstairs unit had failed. The capacitor helps start and run the air conditioner's motor, so when it goes bad, the system won't operate properly.
