A homeowner in McKinney, TX called us because the downstairs area of their home wasn't cooling properly. Our technician inspected the outdoor unit and quickly found the issue — the evaporator coil was heavily soiled with dirt and debris. A dirty evaporator coil prevents the system from absorbing heat effectively, which causes poor cooling performance throughout the home. We cleaned the coil to restore proper airflow and heat transfer. After the cleaning, the system returned to cooling the downstairs area as expected. If your AC isn't keeping up, a dirty coil is one of the most common causes — and it's an easy fix when caught early.
