A homeowner in Allen, Texas contacted us when their master bedroom air conditioning unit stopped cooling properly. Our technician diagnosed the problem and found a faulty capacitor on the outdoor unit. This bad capacitor was preventing the fan from running correctly. We replaced the defective capacitor to restore proper fan operation. During our inspection, we also discovered the system was low on refrigerant. We added one pound of R-22 refrigerant to bring the system pressures back to normal operating levels. The air conditioner is now cooling effectively again.
